How it works
Jev is TypeSafe’s decision model, not a traditional chess engine.
On every turn, it sees the board and every legal move. It gives
each option a probability; the highest-probability move gets
played. No hidden Stockfish, no random fallback.
All normal chess moves are supported, including castling, en
passant and your choice of promotion. Checkmate wins; stalemate,
repetition, the 50-move rule and insufficient material end in a
draw. A 300-move session limit keeps games bounded.
Your board is saved in this browser. New games also keep a
verified move history on the server so completed results can be
ranked. Winners, move counts and optional names are public. Emails
are private and only collected with your opt-in. Only the chess
position and move history are sent to Jev. No account needed.
